Terms of Service

1) You must pass credit check to be a member of Group Rate Electricity.

2) You authorize Group Rate Electricity to be your Electric Consulting Representative and to switch your Retail Electric Provider as often and as needed to keep you at the lowest electric rate.

3) You authorize Group Rate Electricity to charge your credit card for enrolling you in Group Rate Electricity.

4) You authorize Group Rate Electricity to automatically renew the Management Service for your home every 6-months.

5) You authorize Group Rate Electricity to automatically renew the Management Service for your business every 12-months.

6) You authorize Group Rate Electricity to automatically charge your credit card every 6-months for the renewal Management Service Fee for your home.

7) You authorize Group Rate Electricity to automatically charge your credit card every 12-months for the renewal Management Service Fee for your business.

8) You authorize Group Rate Electricity to retain your personal information (Birth Date, Driver License, Social Security Number), your credit card, and your business Federal Tax ID so we can provide you the best electric rate management.

9) You authorize Group Rate Electricity to enroll your electric bill payment on autopay with the Retail Electric Provider as required to get the lowest electric rate.

10) Your electric bill is either autopay or not autopay.

11) Your electric bill is either paper billing or paperless billing.

12) Do not assume your electric bill is on autopay. Check your electric bill every month to see if it is printed autopay or not autopay and take the necessary steps to make sure your electric bill is paid on-time to avoid service interruption.

13) We will notify you via email every time we change your Retail Electric Provider.

14) We will notify you via email 1-month prior to charging your credit card for the renewal Management Service Fee.

15) If your phone number or email is changed, immediately contact Group Rate Electricity so we can update your contact information and keep you informed on important information.

16) Check your email and house mail box to make sure you receive your electric bill every month.

17) Review your electric bill every month to make sure all charges are valid and accurate.

18) If you believe your electric bill is overcharged, immediately email all pages of your electric bill to: info@GroupRateElectricity.com so we can review for accuracy and help correct the overcharge.

19) You are responsible for the on-time payment of your electric bill every month.

20) When you receive a renewal offer notice from the Retail Electric Provider, do not accept the renewal offer. Instead, email the renewal offer notice to: info@GroupRateElectricity.com and let us take care of all your renewal at a much lower rate than you can do yourself.

21) If you are moving, immediately contact Group Rate Electricity so we can advise you of your best option. Do not contact the Retail Electric Provider and request a service transfer to your new home/business address unless Group Rate Electricity has instructed you to do so.

22) If your power is disconnected due to non-payment of your electric bill, immediately call the Retail Electric Provider and make payment or pay online than call the Transmission Delivery Utility (i.e. Oncor @ 888-313-6862, Centerpoint @ 800-332-7143, TNMP @ 888-866-7456, AEP @ 877-373-4858, SHARYLAND @ 800-545-4513) to get your power reconnected.

23) If you receive a security deposit notice from the Retail Electric Provider, do not pay the security deposit unless Group Rate Electricity has instructed you to do so.

24) If you receive a request from the Retail Electric Provider asking you to provide them with proof of your identification (i.e. Driver License, Social Security, Passport), immediately contact Group Rate Electricity so we can advise you.

25) If you receive a permit requirement notice from the Retail Electric Provider, immediately contact Group Rate Electricity so we can advise you.

26) When the Retail Electric Provider calls and asks you for immediate payment or else your power will be shut off but you are unsure of the Retail Electric Provider, immediately contact Group Rate Electricity before you make payment so we can advise you.

27) If your credit card is changed or expired, immediately contact Group Rate Electricity and provide your new credit card so we can continue to effectively manage your electric account, keep you at the lowest electric rate, and avoid management service interruption. If your card is expired or invalid, you will miss out on saving opportunity.

28) If your credit card is changed or expired and your electric bill is on autopay, immediately contact the Retail Electric Provider and provide them with your new credit card to avoid service interruption.

29) If the Management Service Fee is 15-days PAST DUE, you will incur a $35 Late Fee.

30) If we are unable to charge you the Management Service Fee because your card is DECLINED, we will stop managing your electric account, you will go back to Retail Rate which is 30% to 70% higher than Group Rate Electricity, and you will incur a Cancellation Fee from the Retail Electric Provider.

31) The Consulting and Management service provided by Group Rate Electricity will continue until such time we receive a written notice of cancellation from you. All cancellation notice must be received 60-days in advance to avoid Cancellation Fee and Collection.

You acknowledge that all forums are public and not private communications. Further, you acknowledge that communications to or from Retail Electric Providers are not endorsed by us and such communications shall not be considered reviewed, screened or approved by us.

Modification of These Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to change the terms, conditions and notices under which this site is offered.

General

You agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment or agency relationship exists between you and us as a result of this agreement or use of this site. Nothing contained in this site shall be construed to prevent us from complying with law enforcement requests or requirements relating to your use of this site or information provided to or gathered by us with respect to such use. You agree to be financially responsible for your use of and all transactions made in connection with services and products ordered or purchased through this site. Without limitation, any speculative, false or fraudulent purchase, order, reservation or notification to any Retail Electric Provider through this site is prohibited. You agree that you will be completely responsible for all charges, fees, duties, taxes and assessments arising out of the purchases and orders you make through this site. Group Rate Electricity is an electric consulting and management service company. Group Rate Electricity is not a Retail Electric Provider. By entering your payment information you are purchasing an electric consulting and management service that will give you the lowest Group Rate. Some Retail Electric Providers may require a deposit for new accounts usually determined by credit standing and bill payment history. Rates are subject to change.

If you find a lower electric rate with no deposit within 3-days of joining Group Rate Electricity and you provide us a copy of your enrollment confirmation, we will refund 100% of your money paid to Group Rate Electricity.

We will never make a recommendation unless it is financially beneficial and saves you money. We are committed to providing you the best electric rate management.
